Some Apps to Download Torrent on Mobile

Internet surfing has become a vital part of our lives. And so has downloading stuff like movies, songs, software or any other stuff. There are many ways to download free movies, software and music from the Internet. Torrent files are unarguably the most popular way to do it. Torrent has become part of our daily internet usage, especially in slow network connection. For PCs a torrent client is required for downloading the files. Now with the development of mobile technology and the arrival of smartphones it is necessary to have some way of downloading torrent on mobile phones. Torrent apps have been around for that for some time.

In this article we are going to tell you about some of the popular Torrent apps which you can use to download the torrent file on your Mobile Phone.

OS:- Symbian

SymTorrent

For those who have smartphones running the Symbian OS, SymTorrent is the first and only BitTorrent client server that can be used to download and upload files on the go. SymTorrent is a torrent client for the 2nd and 3rd generation of the Symbian OS, it supports downloading multiple torrent files at the same time. And it can also resume the download of the partial downloaded torrents even after restarting the application. The status of each file inside a torrent can be viewed along with several other statistics and properties during download. SymTorrent is available for mobile devices based on the S60 Platform 3rd and 5th edition.

The only drawback of SymTorrent is that it would only be useful if you were downloading a few songs or sharing some small files. Otherwise, the roaming fees and connection charges would make it entirely cost prohibitive.

OS:- Windows

wmTorrent

WinMobile Torrent (wmTorrent) v.3 is the world’s first torrent client for Windows Mobile. wmTorrent now supports DHT (trackerless torrent); PEX (Peer Exchange); plain text and RC4 Protocol Encryption; HTTP Seeding; torrent extensions and many more.

Well now let’s talk business; you have to pay for all these features. The price of WinMobile Torrent is $25. And they only offer a five day trial.

Java ME

MobTorrent

MobTorrent is the first BitTorrent client for Java ME. It requires CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0 and JSR 75 for file handling. The target platform is Nokia S40; however it should support all Java ME capable phones with the proper JSRs.

MobTorrent supports S60 platform as well, but SymTorrent is more suitable for it. MobTorrent improves download speed. MobTorrent is free and open source software under GNU General Public License.

OS: – Android

Transdroid

With Transdroid you can manage torrents from your Android device. All popular clients including µTorrent, Transmission, rTorrent, Vuze, Deluge and BitTorrent 6 are supported. You can view and manage the running torrents and individual files.

The new Transdroid 1.1.4 brings a new active torrents view filter, improved Transmission turtle mode, Shazam song share catching and (custom) coloured LED blinking on notifications.

ALL NEW IN iOS 6- Featuring New Features

During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) we first heard about iOS 6, and now that the iPhone 5 has arrived we’ve got more details on iOS 6 than ever before. And so here we are to share the details about the latest version of the Apple’s new mobile operating system. The new iPhone 5 has shipped from Sept. 21 with iOS 6 preloaded, but folks who own an iPhone 3GS, an iPhone 4, an iPhone 4S, a fourth-generation iPod Touch, an iPad 2 or a third-generation iPad don’t get disappointed because they will be able to download the software. As we’ve heard during WWDC, iOS 6 will bring over 200 new features to customers. So iOS 6 has lots to talk about.

Here are the highlights of the new operating system…. it’s update time.

Facebook integration throughout iOS 6

When iOS 5 integrated social networks many of us wondered why there were no Facebook-friendly functions. Now with iOS 6 there are – and lots of them. Interacting with the world’s largest social network is now easier as Apple has kept the promise of “the best Facebook integration ever in a mobile device”. There’s now a neat “tap to post” option in the Notification Center. You can even share a photo to Facebook right from Camera or Photos. Maps are also integrated directly with Facebook, letting you send your location to the social network. Another important change is that Facebook is now integrated with the App Store. This means you can take a look at what sort of applications your friends are downloading and grab them yourself. Facebook is deeply integrated into the Calendar app as well, meaning that Facebook events (and birthdays listed on Facebook) will appear on your device’s calendar. And your Facebook friends’ profile information is integrated into Contacts, so when they update an email address or phone number you automatically stay up to date. Now that’s something to ‘LIKE’ about.

Siri is getting Smarter

With the launch of the iPhone 4S Apple announced Siri and now with iOS 6 Siri has gotten a lot smarter. Siri not only understands what you say, even it’s smart enough to know what you mean. Siri is proactive, so it will question you until it finds what you’re looking for. Siri has now been given a features boost. Siri has learned lots of new languages (Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese, and more) and has befriended with a lot of new services (such as OpenTable, Yelp, Rotten Tomatoes, and others). It figures out which apps to use for which requests, and it finds answers to queries through sources like Yelp and WolframAlpha. It plays the songs you want to hear, gives you directions, and wakes you up. ‘Siri knows about Sports’, and can provide scores and other data. Say who it’s for and how the message should read, and Siri writes and sends your text. With iOS 6, you can ask Siri to open apps. Just say something like “Play Angry Birds” or “Open iPhoto.” Apple is working with car manufacturers to integrate Siri into select voice control systems. Through the voice command button on your steering wheel, you’ll be able to ask Siri questions without taking your eyes off the road.

Maps

This is quite easily the most significant change added with iOS 6. Apple has totally redesigned the Maps app from the ground up, making it far more competitive with what Android has to offer in Google Maps. Apple’s own maps service uses over 100 million business listings and Yelp integration to provide more information. The first big talking point is a feature called Flyover. This is basically photo realistic 3D views for the maps application, making for the most detailed possible street view style mapping experience. Find your way to your destination using turn-by-turn spoken directions, a 3D view, and real-time traffic information. As you approach a turn, Maps speaks directions, so you can keep your eyes on the road. With Maps, you get real-time traffic information to calculate your ETA. Maps gives you details on what’s causing a backup, so you can tell if there’s a major incident or just a temporary slowdown. And if traffic’s a mess, Maps offers alternative routes to save you time. Siri now plays nice with Maps as well, so you can ask for directions

Well this was all the good. But now as more and more people are upgrading to iOS 6 and using the Maps feature the reviews are disappointing.  Apple’s mapping and geolocation services are not anywhere near as extensive as Google’s. The Internet is now littered with the horror stories of how business, government and major infrastructure listings and map placements are inaccurate and that the built-in navigation in iOS 6 is deplorably inadequate. To worsen the matters, the new 3D features of Apple’s Maps software frequently provides distorted images of highways and well-known urban structures. This is happening majorly because of the lack of Google’s vast database.  There’s no question that the Apple maps software in iOS 6 needs a ton of improvement and devalues a lot what people loved about their iDevices.

Given the harsh feedback that iOS 6 Maps has received, it is possible that Apple will have to begrudgingly allow Google to submit their Google Maps software as a separate app, much like as it has done with Chrome, Google Voice, and Google Plus, which had been de-coupled from the popular mobile OS.

Passbook

A new app in iOS 6, Passbook is your boarding pass; movie ticket, retail coupon, loyalty card, and that too in one place. With Passbook, you can scan your iPhone or iPod touch to check in for a flight, get into a movie, and redeem a coupon. It is basically a mobile equivalent to OS X’s keychain, except with many more useful functions. Think of it like a means to store all your tickets and QR codes in one place. So, no more hunting through your wallet for gift cards, coupons, passes or tickets. Passbook keeps everything organized and handy. Thanks to location support, the app will even pull up the relevant card once you are near the place where you’d use it. This means that if you’re near a Starbucks, Passbook would pull up your Starbucks card automatically, if you’re at an airport, Passbook would pull up your boarding pass automatically, and so on.

Well, we suspect there will be some regional support issues here.

Guided Access

Apple has added new functionalities for those with disabilities which let you to control certain aspects of iOS -such as being able to lock parts of the screen so that users with impaired sight don’t accidentally exit an app. VoiceOver, the revolutionary screen reader for blind and low-vision users, is now integrated with Maps, AssistiveTouch, and Zoom.

It also means parents can load up your kids’ favorite app and then lock down the device so you know exactly what they are playing with, rather than jumping online or playing that adult game you are trying to complete.  In short it will to make your device a bit more kid-friendly.

Improved Phone App

iOS 6 adds new calling features to your iPhone. Now when you decline an incoming call, you can instantly reply with a text message. This revised Phone app offers smart reminders, say for example you can reject a call leaving a message and you can also be reminded to call someone back when you leave your current location. So now incoming calls can be dodged with an auto reply message via one swipe, an there’s a swipe up to get a reminder about it later.

And when things are just too hectic, turn on Do Not Disturb: when new messages arrive, they do so silently and without the screen lighting up. If you wish, you can also tell your iPhone not to silence calls from a list of favorite callers, or to automatically silent repeat calls from the same person.

iOS 6 has FaceTime over 3G

FaceTime now works over cellular networks as well as Wi-Fi, so you can make and receive FaceTime calls wherever you happen to be. You can even make and receive FaceTime calls on your iPad using your phone number. That means you can use FaceTime wherever you are, on any device. And you don’t have to worry about whether you’re selecting someone’s phone number or Apple ID when placing a FaceTime call — because the two are now united. And this drew a big round of applause.

Safari

Safari now has iCloud tabs — which allow for browsing sessions to be synced across your devices so you can start browsing on one device and pick up right where you left off, on whatever device is handy. The offline reading list is a feature which lets you download and store articles from the web to read later even when you can’t connect to the Internet. When you’re posting a photo or video to eBay, Craigslist, or another site, you can take photos and video or choose from your Camera Roll — without leaving Safari.

Reminders

The reminders app has been updated in iOS 6, adding the ability to set location based reminders which will chime in when you either leave or arrive at a certain address.

Above all Apple has also released the reminder API; this means other applications should be able to sync up with this reminders app.

It’s tough to cover all 200 of the new features found in iOS 6, so we have covered the highlights of this new operating system but still there are plenty more little tweaks and gems to be found in this new mobile operating system.

Get The Best Or Get Bricked – Harms Of Rooting Your Phone

Bought new Android phone, and after exploring all its features and understanding everything that the device offers you suddenly realized that there are certain manufacturer-imposed limitations which obstructs you from having full control over your phone. Now you start searching the web and come across the term “rooting.” Now you become curious and by doing a bit more research you get to know ‘the miracles’ of rooting. Rooting allows you to unleash the true power that your device possesses and you become the Super User. But the grass is always not greener on the other side. There is always another side of the coin and one should look at that also. First let’s just get a brief idea what actually rooting is.

What is Rooting?

Basically, Rooting is a process which lets you conquer the limitations that the manufacturer of the device has imposed upon it by unlocking the Android device. These limitations are imposed to the casual user from causing permanent damage to the operating system and thus rendering it unusable. “Rooting” is the process in which the limitations are removed and full-access is allowed. Rooting allows the Android phone owner to have more control over many settings, features and performance of their phone.

But there is a darker side to rooting and it is only for the people who are brave at heart.

The harms that rooting can do to your Android Phone:

  • Rooting immediately voids your phone’s warranty. So once rooted, you can’t get your phone back for service or warranty work.
  • If rooting is not done properly then it can cause your phone to function abnormally.
  • There is also a risk of bricking your phone. The phone is dead when it has been “bricked” i.e it is rendered useless.
  • After rooting your phone is unentitled to receiving OS updates through OTA. So you will have to look out for valid sources for updates on your own.
  • Rooting means you will be getting and requiring constant updates.
  • Rooting may make your phone perform faster but with the disadvantage that it sometimes runs too hot thus overheating your device.
  • There are many cases in which users have found that, in their attempts to speed up the phone or add additional features, their phones lost both performance speed and features.
  • Generally people having “rooted” phones flash their ROM’s with custom programs. Whenever you make changes to the code of software, you are at a risk of introducing a virus.

Apps For Wireless Sharing Of Files From One iPhone Or iPad To Another

Android users flaunt about the ease of file sharing that they have at their disposal as unfortunately most of us have experienced that file sharing is not the strongest point of iOS.  But this is not the end of the world and all thanks to Bluetooth file transfer. At first, it might seem as if Bluetooth or wireless file transfer is not something that you can have on your iPhone, but actually, there are some great apps available in the App Store to exactly fulfill this goal. All iOS devices come with Bluetooth support, and there are apps that lets you use Bluetooth to share photos, contacts, music and other files between two iOS devices, and that, too, without the need to jailbreak, or even iTunes.

Here is a list of 5 free apps that allow iOS users to transfer data between any other iDevice(s) wirelessly, and that too with a great ease.

iShareFiles

Although most easy-to-use file transfer app for iOS, it is cluttered with annoying ads, but then it is free. The only thing that is required is that this free app be installed on both iOS devices, and you are good to go without having to sign up for an account or performing any other configuration steps. Just start the app on both iDevices, and hit the big Bluetooth button located in the middle of the screen.

iShareFiles will search for other devices running the app in your iPhone’s proximity, and once any such device is found, you are free to start sharing. The app lets you transfer photos (both from the camera roll and by snapping one directly from your device’s camera) and contacts. The files sent by other iShareFiles users will be received on your iPhone or other devices without asking for your permission.

But before actually saving the data you do get the choice to preview the contact or image file . The preview screen has got a Save button in the top right corner, and until you hit it; the photo will remain only in the app and won’t go to the Photos library in your iDevice. Received images are stored in the camera roll, while the contact cards go to the stock Contacts app.

AirForShare

AirForShare is an app that can be used to transfer image and text files between iOS, Windows Phone, Android and desktop devices. The service hosts the images you want to share over a temporary server of sorts, and anyone with access to that server (that is, anyone on the same Wi-Fi network as you) can download the images and text hosted on it. So, you can use AirForShare as an effective method for quickly sharing images from your iPhone or iPad with other iOS devices near you. Beware, AirForShare is not recommended if you are looking for a secure method of image sharing.

Bump

When it comes to sharing data between two smartphones bump is, by far, the most popular app. Like the other apps, Bump deals with photos and contacts, but undoubtedly has the best interface as compared to all of its competitors. Bump has a unique feature that it is completely free from buttons, and the whole sharing process is based upon gestures. All you have to do is select the photos or contact information you want to transfer to another iPhone, and then bump your device with the other one, while both of them are running the app. Bump is also useful for transferring data to a computer, and it even has the option to let you share your own contact card with anyone quickly.

DataCase

With DataCase now you can turn your iPhone and iPod touch into a wireless drive and file viewer.
File saving on your iPhone is made easy as DataCase works directly with Finder and Bonjour. So as soon as you start DataCase and your Mac already knows that it’s there. You just need to drag and drop files like it was another hard drive. DataCase works with any computer that has wireless capabilities or is connected to a wireless network. You can browse, view, upload, and download your files from finder on a Mac using AFP or from windows explorer on a PC. DataCase allows you to create multiple volumes to separate your data any way you like. Each volume is independent and allows you to define how it can be accessed. You can set read, write, and browse permissions for each, or even make it invisible to anyone but you. Volumes can also be set up to alert you before allowing a connection over the network. DataCase is fully internationalized for English, French, German, Chinese, and Korean, with more languages on the way. File and folder names are fully UTF-8 compliant.

Supported file types include: Microsoft Office (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx), PDF, Text, Images, Html, Audio, Video

But audio and video playback is limited to formats that are supported by the iPhone OS.

Kicksend

Apps like Bump might be really good for sharing a few photos, but you need something like Kicksend if you are looking to transfer a lot of photos or videos from your iPhone in one go. Kicksend is like an email service focused just on media sharing. It does not make use of your email ID, you will have to create an app-specific account before you can start sending photos to your friends. There is no limit on the number of image files that can be shared via Kicksend, and you will be able to send as many files as you want in one go. The service allows its users to add their friends to mailing lists, and even has the option to leave comments on individual shares.

SimpleDrop

This app has the most feature-rich options available if you are looking to transfer data between two iOS devices. SimpleDrop uses Wi-Fi to let users share music, photos, videos, contacts and documents between two iOS devices, and from an iPhone to a computer. It might take some time to learn to use this app, but once you are comfortable with that, everything is sure to go smoothly. You just have to sign in on both devices using the same credentials, and you will be able to view the other person’s data and receive whatever they choose to share with you SimpleDrop is certainly among the best of its kind.

iFile

If you own an iPhone, you must be fully aware that how much it is dependent on iTunes for everything. Using a USB cable you need to synchronize your phone to iTunes every time you want to transfer something and this can be really cumbersome. In that case iFile will really help you. It’s an application that lets you transfer files from your system to the phone or vice versa over the air without having to sync with iTunes.

All you need is a Jailbroken phone and you are good to go.

First you need to download iFile and reboot the phone after installation.

Now navigate to the page where you can see the iFile icon and then open the application.

When the application opens, you would be greeted with an explorer type interface. Tap on the WiFi symbol at the bottom for your phone and that will generate the address to which your browser will connect.

After you tap on the symbol, you would see a black background with white text on it. Just copy the address in the last line to your browser’s address bar on the PC and see the magic unfold.

Use your browser to check out files on your phone. Navigate to any folder you want to on your phone with the help of the browser. Copying and uploading files is just as easy and requires just a few clicks.

NOTE:- You don’t need to pay attention to things that appear on your phone’s screen.

Download the application and witness it for yourself.

There might be few other apps for iOS to iOS file sharing, but the ones listed in this post cover all the functionality that any users can wish to have on their iPhone.  So, now if anyone puts a charge on iOS for being difficult for file sharing purpose, then just show them this post, so that they can learn the true potential offered by third-party apps in the iOS App Store.

NO SIM, NO WORRIES— USE WHATSAPP ON YOUR PC WITHOUT SIM CARD

Whatsapp on PC

Yes, you read correctly now WhatsApp is available on your PC. And above all without any SIM card.

WhatsApp is one of the most popular cross-platform messaging apps available across iOS, Android, Blackberry & Symbian S60 platforms. And these phones can message each other irrespective of which OS they are running (unlike the hugely popular BBM which only works across Blackberry devices). WhatsApp has become popular because of its simplicity and its capability to connect different handsets types for FREE. Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends. Another big advantage is its availability on WiFi… Whenever you are home or in a place with a WiFi connection, you are back online for free.

In addition to basic messaging ─ iPhone, Android, Nokia and BlackBerry WhatsApp Messenger users can send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

But in case you don`t have a data plan on your mobile or want to chat with long texts, then you definitely wish you could use it on your laptop or PC. Unfortunately there is no official WhatsApp application available for Windows PCs, but as we say ‘where there is a will there is a way’ you can still use it

Pre-requisites for running WhatsApp Android on your Windows PC

  • Any Android Emulator ─ here we are going to use YouWave.
  • WhatsApp.apk ─ you can download it from the WhatsApp website Whatsapp

How to install and use WhatsApp on your laptop/pc — A step by step tutorial

  1. Download and install YouWave on your system from Youwave
  2. Run YouWave then Click on Help >> Instructions to see the path of your working directory. Note that First Run may take some time to initialize.
  3. Copy the WhatsApp.apk file in to the directory OR through the Android AppStore you can also download it within the emulator (YouWave)
  4. When installation completes click on ‘Open’ then ‘Agree and continue’
  5. select your country and enter a phone number (NOT YOURS)
  6. The phone number should not be yours but you need a valid phone number so you can use your landline number.
  7. Click OK the system will launch a SMS verification process which we will fail. (we want this to happen, which is why we chose a landline)
  8. wait for 5 minutes, so this process can end, you will get an alternative choice ‘CALL me’
  9. Click on ‘call me’
  10. WhatsApp will call you and you will be provided with a 3 digit verification number. (on the same landline you used first )
  11. Now insert the code you were given and GET STARTED…
  12. Now put a name and follow the rest as it is self-explanatory.
  13. You will have to add contacts manually.
  14. Once you add a contact, you go to WhatsApp and you can initiate a conversation.

Well now you don’t need a SIM card for using WhatsApp. Isn’t that great??

MAX Gaming, MAX Thrill, MAX addiction: MAX PAYNE 3 Cheat Codes

Publisher: Rockstar Games

Platform: PS3, Xbox 360, PC

Price: Rs. 2499

It has been nine years since Max Payne last hit our gaming shelves. The latest edition of this Max Payne franchise is Max Payne 3.  Max no longer a cop is ruined, drunk and addicted to painkillers. Without a job on the force, Max has left the greater New York area. The publicity still showed that Max Payne 3 is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Since we last saw Max in 2003 he has surely put on some weight and looks aged significantly. Max has teamed up with Raul Passos- Max’s academy pal and an ex-cop; and he works as a private security for a Brazilian, Rodrigo Branco and his family.

With a few flashbacks in the beginning the story starts-off with a kidnapping in the family and thus Max and Raul gets involved in a series of rescue operations. Furthermore, as the story proceeds it becomes clear that protecting Branco’s family is just one facet of the game and there are other aspects that involve some prime characters and double crosses between them. Here we will not give you any further details because this will reveal crucial links that takes the story forward.

The game also contains cues. The look and feel of Max Payne 3 is quite different from its predecessors. The classic noir look of the Max Payne series along with the graphic novel panel is missing. The scenes are backed with dialogues, which takes the story forward. With its gripping narrative, this is a distinctive and outstanding game through and through. It seems like you are a part of some Hollywood movie. Max’s health due to addiction of alcohol and painkillers is wonderfully represented by blurred, jittery and distorted video effects. The cinematic representation is great.

The transition between the cut-scenes and the game play is very smooth. You take control when the health and bullet-time gauge show up. The best aspect of the game that really helps you to engage in the game is that every chapter of the game is set in a completely different terrain. In one chapter you are in a luxurious building and in the next you move into a football stadium, then into a dance club. You can also have some action in a moving boat, a moving bus and a yatch. Character design and facial expressions are unbelievable and etched out such that you can see every twitch and wrinkle on Max’s face.

Brutal violence is the norm of the game. Every bullet that pierces through your opponent or Max’s body sprinkles blood. In the gun fight sequence the last kill usually happens in a slow-motion-bullet camera. There are a variety of guns which you can choose from but at a time Max can carry only two guns.

Well… those who love third person shooting games then it is a treat for them. So what are you waiting for?? Grab the game and start playing this thrilling game!!

Annoyed of Ads on Android?? Stop the Invasion of Ads on Android

As the popularity of Android is growing, so is its attractiveness to advertisers. And so ads are arriving on Android phones, inside games and apps, in mobile browser and even as push notifications. These ads sometimes make using apps almost unbearable.

Are you tired of these annoying ads popping up in apps on your Android phones?  Are you sick of giant ads taking up the valuable space on your mobile phone screen? If yes, then you need not to worry anymore. This article will help you in removing ads from your android apps.

For Rooted Devices:

  • To block ads from Android Apps AdAway is a tailor-fit app. From here you can Download and Install AdAway
  • After installing this app, open it. As you are running it for the first time it prompts you to download some external files and enable ad blocking.
  • You just need to click on the required option.
  • It will automatically download the required files and tweaks your Android Device to block the ads.
  • After the download process is complete, you need to restart your Android Device and now relax and enjoy your Ad-Free Apps.

Another option is to use AdFree.

Just like AdAway, this app also requires root access. Adfree not only blocks ads in your apps but also in the browsers.

Just download AdFree from here

Open it, and hit the “Download & Install Hosts” button at the top of the screen.

There is also an option for advanced tweaking, but most of the times default setting will do.

The best part is that it doesn’t just hide the ads; it actually blocks the ads from downloading—so it actually is conserving resources.

NOTE: After installing AdFree successfully, you will need to restart your device.

For Non Rooted Devices:

For those mobile devices that are not rooted one need to give mobile browsers a try in order to get rid of these pesky ads. If you are using Firefox in your Android then things become simple –all you need to do is to just install a plugin called the “Ad Block Plus” to block all the ads which are shown in the phone.

Of course, as only a few browsers currently support the blocking of ads, unrooted phones will not have nearly as many choices when it comes to removing ads.

Push Notifications:

Annoyed at the ads clogging your notification bar? Blocking ads that arrive via push notification is more of a challenge if your android device is not rooted. Still, you do have a few options. The best one is to avoid any applications that allow such ads in. This may sound a bit obvious and not much helpful, but really ‘something is better than nothing’. You should read the fine print, including user reviews, before installing any apps to your Android phone.

If such an app is already on your phone, but you’re not sure which one it is, try an app such as AirPush Detector or Addons Detector, each of which can find ad-friendly apps residing in your phone.

Messages are delivered from ad networks and mobile-marketing firms, such as AirPush, Appenda, LeadBolt, and Moolah Media. These firms also allow you to opt out of their offerings. For example, AirPush provides a Permanent Opt-out app. Appenda’s site also features a Global Opt-Out Form, and also LeadBolt’s site lets you opt out of its services.
